Key points
- A map location and arrival instructions explain different parts of reaching a place.
- Saving information and sharing it are separate choices.
- A link type controls availability; a password adds an access check.
Spatial identity
Spatial identity is the combination of information used to identify and reach a place. In Aggreu, it brings together a saved location, address details and arrival context. It describes more than a text address, because the recipient may also need an entrance, floor or handoff instruction.
In practice: A building location, the correct entrance and a unit number together explain where a delivery should arrive. Keep each detail accurate instead of assuming the map pin explains the entire route.
Saved address
A saved address is a location record managed by the account owner. It can hold coordinates, building details, contact information, photos and delivery notes. Saving those details keeps them available for future use; the owner separately selects which details to include when creating a share.
In practice: Keep home and work as separate saved addresses with clear names. Choose the intended address before generating a link, especially when the delivery destination changes.
Map coordinates
Map coordinates are the latitude and longitude that locate a point on a map. They help identify the geographic position of an address. Coordinates alone may not show the correct entrance, floor or unit, so arrival details can still be useful for the final approach.
In practice: Check that a pin sits at the intended building and add a note if the entrance is on another street. In sharing settings, geographic location can be selected separately from building details.
Arrival instructions
Arrival instructions explain how to reach the intended entrance or complete the handoff after reaching a location. In Aggreu, descriptions and delivery notes can provide this context. They are distinct from the map coordinates, and their inclusion in a sharing link is controlled by the owner.
In practice: A short note about the side entrance or reception desk is more useful than repeating the street address. Review instructions when an entrance, contact or delivery arrangement changes.
Default address
The default address is the saved address selected as the account’s primary location. An optional phone-number sharing link is available only for an eligible permanent share of that address. Choosing a default address and enabling a phone-number link are separate actions with different effects.
In practice: Confirm the intended location before sharing. Changing a default address does not notify every delivery company automatically; communicate the correct current details to the intended recipient.
